We’d Like to Introduce Ourselves
About Quinn
I’m glad you’ve found me, and welcome: You are the expert of your own life and experiences here. I will honor your intersecting identities and the influence they have on how you understand yourself and navigate the world. As you share your story, experiences, and truth, my job is simply to be fully present and believe you without question. In doing so, I hope to cultivate a brave space to accept the person you’ve had to be to survive thus far, and to help you heal the wounds that block you from clearly seeing and/or stepping into the person you’ve always been.
My areas of expertise include life-cycle LGBTQIA+ issues, gender and sexuality exploration, kink and polyamory, neurodiversity, and both individual and generational trauma. Grounded in non-judgemental support, exploration and encouragement, I use a variety of therapy models including DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). My approach encourages radical self acceptance, assistance when seeking accommodations in both educational and employment settings, and exploring the impact of neurotypical expectations on the neurodivergent mind.
As a queer, trans-masc, non-binary individual who also engages in polyamorous and ethically non monogamous relationships; my work emphasizes the importance of working with the whole person. I honor how your identities inform how you move through the world, as we work towards healing from the harms that you’ve experienced. I have my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago and have spent the last 10+ years working within community mental health, challenging myself to develop a deeper understanding of how my inherent privilege as a white clinician impacts the therapeutic relationships I have with folks who are part of marginalized communities. I am ready to provide you with the affirming care you deserve. You can take the next step by scheduling a brief consultation. I look forward to meeting you.
“The new dawn blooms as we free it. There is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it.”
-Amanda Gorman
