We’d Like to Introduce Ourselves
About Mallika
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” yourself—it’s about fostering understanding, acceptance, healing, and growth. I take a collaborative and compassionate approach, creating a safe, open space to holistically explore your identities, experiences, and goals. My priority is building an authentic, warm relationship where you feel truly seen and heard. Together, we’ll customize our work to support your growth and healing at a pace that feels right for you.
I’m passionate about supporting marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+ folks, immigrants, adoptees, and people of color. I also have experience working with those navigating mood disorders, ADHD, Autism, PTSD, and substance use concerns. I understand that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially when your experiences have been marginalized or misunderstood by mainstream approaches. As a South Asian adoptee and first-generation immigrant, I am deeply committed to centering social justice and equitable care in my practice. I draw from trauma-informed applications of Rogerian (Person-Centered) Therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Motivational Interviewing.
I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing video games, learning about herbalism, and engaging in artistic expression. I welcome the chance to see if we’re a good fit. If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to hear from you!

“The new dawn blooms as we free it. There is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it.”
-Amanda Gorman
